Rubbn’Repair Teams with All-Stars

January 22nd, 2010

In our continuing effort to support grassroots racing, we at Rubbn’Repair have again in 2010 partnered with the All Star Circuit of Champions as a corporate sponsor.

Originally designed as a race car repair patch, we continue to develop new applications for Rubbn’Repair.  With the successful introduction of wing caps in 2009, we saw the need to offer lower cost solutions to other parts of race cars.  We are working with teams and designers to find applications for Rubbn’Repair in other parts of race cars and racing programs to help teams in these tough economic times.

August 24th, 2009

Friday night brought Rubbn’Repair’s first visit to Bloomington Speedway in Indiana.

Although the weather was fighting to wash it out, the Midwest All Star officials and drivers were determined to finish the racing.  In the end they were successful.

Also over the weekend, Speedway Motors began selling the Wing Caps on their web store.  Follow this link to purchase:  www.speedwaymotors.com/Easy-to-Install-Wing-Protectors,35649.html

I-55 Brings brisk Wing Cap Sales

August 11th, 2009

Just returned from I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO where the All-Star Circuit of Champions, the Mid-West All Stars and the World of Outlaws came together under the hot August sun to race in the Ironman 55.

Sales of Wing Caps by Rubbn’Repair were tremendous and we introduced red, green and yellow as additional colors for Repair Patch by Rubbn’Repair.  The colors seemed to be well received as teams are looking for ways lower the cost of repairing their race car that will last much longer than tape and match the color of their cars.

Future business wise, it was a good weekend as I talked to a couple of possible retailers from the PA area that showed an interest in carrying Rubbn’Repair in their businesses.

The next several weeks will bring trips to such venues as Bloomington, Lawerenceburg, Terre Haute, Attica and Kokomo.  Check out www.rubbnrepair.com for our schedule.

If you’re a fan, come support some of the best sprint car racing in the world and as a team, look for Rubbn’Repair at the tracks.

Ohio Speedweek a Sucess

June 30th, 2009

With Ohio Speedweek in the books, Rubbn’Repair would like to thank the tracks (Eldora, Millstream and Waynesfield) that showed us hospitality by giving us space to set up our tent to feature our products.

Although we were only able to attend 3 of the 8 nights, we saw a lot of success with the Wing Caps.  Teams are buying and Kear’s Speedshop of Tiffin Ohio now carries them.  With Speedway Motors and Kear’s on board, we see the availability of the Wing Caps becoming more wide spread.

Our next trip will be to the Terre Haute Action Track on July 4th as the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions and the Mid-West All Stars join together for a co-sanctioned event.

And on another note, check out Page 20 of the September 2009 issue of Circle Track for a write-up on our Wing Caps.

Rubbn’Repair at Ohio Speedweek

June 17th, 2009

Ohio Speedweek is upon us and Rubbn’Repair is ready to go.

We plan on attending most of the weeks events.  Look for the Rubbn’Repair tent at Attica, Eldora, Findlay and Waynesville.  We will have plenty of the Rubbn’Repair Wing Caps and Rubbn’Repair Patch Material.  All Star Circuit of Champions members remember to ask about your discounted prices.

As word spreads, the Wing Caps are becoming a hot item in our product lines.  Visit the Wing Cap page of Rubbn’Repair.com for more info or see us at the tracks.

Rubbn’Repair Introduces Customizable Wing Caps

March 18th, 2009

Wing Cap on Wing

Rubbn’Repair Wing Caps are tough protection against whatever the track throws at your car. Sprint, micro and midget racers now have a new product that can be easily tailored to fit any wing configuration. Rubbn’Repair Wing Caps offer drivers and teams the look of carbon fiber (black or silver) and the strength of a self-adhesive, high-performance composite.

Originally developed for NASA and made of “shape memory” material, Rubbn’Repair Wing Caps can be customized to any size or shape in only a matter of minutes. The wing caps are hard and rigid, but when they are heated, they become soft and moldable. Teams can custom fit their wings with protection that stays put even under the hardest racing conditions. Within seconds, the wing caps harden again into a strong, lightweight protective cap that holds the new shape.Wing Caps

Benefits:

  • Self-adhesive
  • Moldable when warmed
  • Rigid and tough at racing temperatures
  • Strong protection
  • Customizable
  • Quick, easy application
  • Eliminates rivets
  • Affordable
  • Removable without wing damage

Rubbn’Repair Wing Caps are a cost-effective, reliable solution to protect expensive racing equipment. These wing caps are an evolution in protection of sprints, micros, midgets and more.

For more information, post a comment and I’ll get back to you.

First night with All-Stars

February 12th, 2009

The first night of the 2009 season with the All-Star Circuit of Champions http://www.allstarsprint.com/ in Volusia Florida was a cold one.  Over the 2 nights, got to see some of the best drivers in conditions that seemed more meant for snow mobiles.  But, the racing was great.

Spent time talking to friends from last season and meeting drivers and teams making new friends.  Promoted Rubbn’Repair and the new Wing Caps.  From the reception, wing caps drew a lot of interest and was quickly accepted by a World of Outlaws sprint car team.

Since the introduction at PRI in December, the Wing Caps are gaining interest and there are more than a few speed shops and retailers ready to ink a deal to carry them.

Looks like it might be a busy spring and summer with lots of racing.  Working on a schedule of trips to events and races to demo, help and sell.

What People are Saying about Rubbn’Repair:

February 9th, 2009

“We were able to install Rubbn’Repair on the right front fender (a very critical areo and support area). We had amazing results. The product was pliable enough that I was able to shape the exact contour of the fender. We were then able to trim the product to an exact fit. Once the product set up, it became rigid and was a permanent part of the car and was as good as the original fender.” –O’Connell Racing Crew Chief Roy Montgomery

“We are very happy that we had your product, we would have DNF’d for sure.” –President of O’Connell Racing, David Rifkin
